There are arguments on both sides of this great debate. Those who are concerned about the future of those Americans who can not afford health care for themselves and their families, and those who are concerned that by having the government regulate health care we will become a socialistic society.
There are arguments on both sides of this great debate. Those who are concerned about the future of those Americans who can not afford health care for themselves and their families, and those who are concerned that by having the government regulate health care we will become a socialistic society. Obviously, there is concern by all, but those who are dying each year because they are unable to seek the medical treatment they need, probably for the most part are not appreciating the argument of a socialistic government. It must be a great concern to think that we live in one of the richest countries in the world, and yet our people cant receive medical treatment when they are in desperate need, in spite of the fact that there are medical facilities in every corner of the US. You must ask yourself how that could be. If it is a democratic society that will allow the poorest of its people to die, so that the richest in the country may stay that way, then truly what good is it? Do you really believe that when our forefathers thought of a democratic society, this is how they pictured it? People going hungry on the streets, people dying needlessly, do you think that is what was intended by a democracy? If a government takes the reins and helps people with health care benefits so they can lead happier lives, that should be a good thing. It must be considered whether or not that is socialism, and also whether it still can be considered socialism if it is voted for by the people in a democratic manner. Many wonder why it is that we can spend billions on helping other countries to protect their citizens while we let our own suffer. There must be a way for all citizens to have access to quality health care - the same health care that the politicians in Washington receive at taxpayers' expense. The debate will go on and the democracy will not suffer.
